Tina Knowles Speaks Out After Kanye West’s Offensive Post About Beyoncé & Jay-Z’s Twins (video)

Tina Knowles, the matriarch of the Knowles family and mother to global music icons Beyoncé and Solange, has taken to social media to defend her family following a controversial post by Kanye West. On March 20, Knowles shared a video on Instagram, just a day after West made an offensive remark concerning Beyoncé’s seven-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir.

In West’s now-deleted post, he questioned whether anyone had ever seen the children and used derogatory language to imply doubts about their mental capacity. This comment sparked outrage among fans and supporters, prompting Knowles to respond with her own message of resilience. In her video, Knowles, who was on the set of a photo shoot for her upcoming memoir titled “Matriarch,” spoke about the importance of maintaining positivity in the face of ignorance. She began her video with a lighthearted joke, stating, “What happens when a snowman throws a tantrum? He has a meltdown,” before addressing the situation more seriously.

Initially, Knowles captioned her post with a strong statement: “It’s hard to remain positive and classy in the face of ignorance and evil, but I know that no weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper.” This message was later edited to include a more playful tone, reflecting her sense of humor amidst the turmoil.

Kanye West, in a follow-up post, seemed to express regret for his earlier comments, stating, “I love Jay-Z and I do feel bad,” hinting at his long-standing grievances with the rapper. West’s post referenced both personal and professional disputes, including his infamous interruption of Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and his feelings of being the “black sheep” within the music industry.

Tina Knowles, who has always emphasized the significance of family, has also been busy promoting her memoir. In a recent appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” she spoke about the joy of motherhood, saying, “Being a mom is the best job I’ve ever had.” She reflected on the affection she receives from fans who call her “Mama Tina,” a name that carries a legacy from her own mother.

The recent events underscore the protective instincts of Knowles as she navigates the challenges of public life while defending her family. As she continues to promote her memoir, her commitment to family values remains at the forefront, showcasing the strength and resilience that define the Knowles family.
