Liverpool have been in the market for a new striker but a move for one is dependent on sales.
The Reds got their pre-season campaign underway with a 3-1 win away to Preston North End, with many players putting in a notable performance.
Arne Slot will use these games to experiment with his side and he did just that in the opening game as he tried players out in different positions, as well as giving minutes to those who were in desperate need.
Darwin Nunez was one of the players who managed to make an impact during the 45 minutes he was on the pitch, with the Uruguayan scoring after capitalising on a defensive mistake.
The 26-year-old had a decent cameo that has left fans undecided, with his future perhaps even more uncertain now.

Liverpool fans divided whether to keep or sell Darwin Nunez
As the club-record signing, supporters would have hoped that Nunez would consistently be hitting around 20 goals a season, although he has not even come close.
The striker has missed far too many chances and patience among fans and people within the club appear to be wearing thin, with an Anfield exit seeming more likely than not.
However, Reds fans have been left undecided after his performance against Preston and are unsure whether to give him one last chance or not.
One fan put: “No one could ever make me dislike Darwin Nunez! I stand by what I said a month ago! Give him another season. Come at me all you want, I don’t care!
While another put: “Sell! Cannot believe he hasn’t been sold already.” A third fan wrote: “Darwin Nunez has to stay. You aren’t getting a better striker than him unless you spend stupid money, and by stupid money I mean 180m for somebody like Isak who has a team build around him and is shining at Newcastle, but would he at LFC with Mo being the main man?”
Another fan added: “Sell. Some of his first touches were poor today, he won’t always have defenders putting him through on goal. Fair play, took it well, awful freekick, tried his best but not good enough overall.”
A fifth fan said in contrast: “No way people look at the current striker market and think to themselves it’s a good idea to sell Nunez. Literally only Isak is an upgrade on him, as Alvarez is not available. He’s got what it takes.”
While another fan put: “Sell if we can, for the right price; but let’s not give him away. It’s not as if the market is overflowing with number nines is it? On his day he’s an absolute monster and a nuisance to defences. Just a pity he can miss so many sitters as he frustrates me.”
This was supported by another who added: “50m would be beyond perfect.”
While a different fan had a contrasting opinion, saying: “Darwin Nunez should not be leaving Liverpool this summer. End of conversation.”
Darwin Nunez clearly loves Liverpool
Although he may not be the most clinical finisher, if there is one thing that everyone can tell about Nunez is that he clearly loves the club.
He is an emotional character, albeit sometimes too emotional, and puts his heart and soul into every performance, the perfect basis for a striker to succeed.
The only thing missing from his game is confidence. Once he finds that again, something will surely click as he has quality in abundance, he just needs to back himself in front of goal.
Whether he gets a chance to find that is yet to be seen but all the indications suggest he will not get the time, although giving him a final chance might not be the worst idea in the world given the current state of the striker market.
