Charleston White DISRESPECTS Gillie after catching stray in his Cam Newton Rant (video)

Charleston White has stirred up controversy once again, this time targeting podcaster Gillie Da Kid after Gillie mentioned White during a heated exchange with former NFL quarterback Cam Newton. The conflict began when Gillie called out Newton for his music career while implying that his platform, which has featured various high-profile guests, had also given a voice to people of questionable credibility.

In a fiery response, Charleston White accused Gillie of clout chasing and disrespectfully critiqued his past, suggesting that Gillie was once overshadowed by more prominent figures in the music industry, including Lil Wayne. White’s comments were laden with personal jabs, pointing out Gillie’s past affiliation with Cash Money Records and questioning his relevance today.

“You out clout chasing, man,” White exclaimed, referencing Gillie’s interviews with lesser-known individuals who spoke on icons like Deion Sanders and Jay-Z. He further asserted that Gillie, despite being a Pro Bowler and millionaire, was chasing content that lacked substance. White didn’t hold back, claiming Gillie’s son was now a “nobody” and mocked his character, saying, “Your boy was playing gangster. Look at him.”

The exchange has drawn attention for its intensity and personal nature. White’s reputation for provocative statements often leads to escalated tensions, and this instance was no exception. Gillie, while acknowledging the existence of White, suggested that engaging with him was futile, as White tends to exploit such conflicts for attention.

Yet, the drama didn’t end there. Following the initial exchange, White issued an apology for mentioning Gillie’s son during their back-and-forth. He expressed regret during an interview, stating, “I ain’t going to know I’m wrong and continue to be wrong as a man,” recognizing the emotional weight that comes with losing a child. However, Gillie was not inclined to accept the apology, asserting that White’s reputation for disrespect made it hard to take him seriously.

In a subsequent appearance on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Gillie reiterated his stance, explaining that he couldn’t respect someone who built a reputation on disrespecting others. He emphasized that White’s actions and words did not align with what he considers honorable, reinforcing his belief that engaging with White is not worth the trouble.

This feud highlights the ongoing tensions within the world of social media commentary, where figures like Charleston White thrive on controversy and personal attacks. Gillie’s reluctance to engage with White further underscores a growing awareness among public figures about the dangers of responding to provocateurs. As the dialogue continues, it becomes clear that both parties are entrenched in their positions, and the fallout from this exchange may linger in the public eye for some time.
