Dresses with soaringly high splits are now super-fashionable when it comes to taking on the red carpet
THESE days most celebs don’t mind flashing a bit of flesh – but it seems there’s a shocking new trend amongst the stars.
A-listers are daring to bare their nether-regions with dramatic slit dresses that cause a controversial ‘vagina cleavage’.
Dresses with soaringly high splits are now super-fashionable when it comes to taking on the red carpet and it seems Kendall Jenner may be to blame.
The catwalk favourite donned a cream dress with two eye-wateringly high slits down each side when she attended the Video Awards in Toronto back in June 2014.
Ever since then, other stars have followed suit.
This year, at Cannes Film Festival, model Bella Hadid gave everyone a good glimpse with a highly cut scarlet red number, which made her look like she was completely knickerless.
However, it turns out that the famous stunner was secretly wearing a high-waisted leotard underneath.
This month, Italian models Giulia Salemi and Dayane Mello went one step further as they attended the Venice Film Festival while wearing brightly coloured, crotch-flashing creations.
Both of the girl’s gowns were slashed to the waist, leaving very little to the imagination.
The Mediterranean beauties both shunned undies – but they did have a trick up their sleeves when it came to protecting their modesty.
Giulia was snapped wearing a clever strapless thong called the ‘Shibue’ in place of pants.
If you didn’t already know, a Shibue is a tiny piece of fabric that covers the intimate area and is held in place by re-usable silicone gel strips.
The creators of Shibue say that it’s for women who want to “wear what they want” without feeling self-conscious.
Hmmm, we’re not sure we’ll be rocking this look down the high street…
