In this operation, Navy SEALs were transported to bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, by MH-47G helicopters, and they were also used to remove the SEALs and seized items from the site. Successfully completing this mission demonstrated the MH-47G’s unique capabilities to carry out nearly impossible missions under extraordinary circumstances.
