Jurgen Klopp’s £4million mansion up for sale on Merseyside’s Millionaire’s Row features a state-of-the art gym, salon, trophy room, bar and entertainment ‘complex’ – plus its own spa, MailOnline can reveal.
The six-bedroom property is on the market after new Liverpool manager Arne Slot and wife Mirjam turned down the opportunity to move in following Klopp’s departure last summer.
The Reds own the house after buying it off former manager Brendan Rodgers, 51, in 2019, believing the luxurious pad would be the ideal base for their managers, and reportedly let Klopp stay rent-free.
But now bosses have decided to sell the stunning property and it’s sure to get plenty of interest given its location in Formby, one of the North West’s most sought-after regions.
The mansion is a WAG’s paradise, featuring plush marble floors and swanky interiors throughout living spaces.
The spacious main bedroom includes a huge en-suite bathroom containing a giant tub, plus his and hers dressing rooms.
The pink-themed second bedroom possesses its own adjoining cinema room and ensuite bathroom, also both drenched in pink.
The other main bedrooms also feature stunning en-suites, but the sixth bedroom – located on the first floor – has a walk-through into a trophy room.
Outside, situated in the rear grounds of the property, is an impressive separate exterior glass-fronted building containing the bar and entertainment area, featuring a dart board and mirrored dance floor.
The top floor resides the gym where exercise bikes are placed by the windows looking out towards the main property, plus a jacuzzi, plunge pool and solarium in the adjoining spa area.
The other notable outbuilding is the indoor swimming pool – bolted onto the ground floor – featuring saunas and comfy sofas, situated in the gardens opposite an outdoor cooking area perfect for summer barbecues.
The huge entrance hall to the house links to the kitchen, which doubles as dining and family room, while the other side leads through to a spacious lounge area – situated next to the salon.
The front of the gated property has a huge driveway, perfect for a fleet of prized cars.
Ex-captain Steve Gerrard – who made 504 appearances for the Reds – bought the Merseyside property in 2005 after it was built by a local developer.
When Gerrard, 44, left for US side LA Galaxy in 2015 he sold the house to incoming Liverpool boss Rodgers.
After he was sacked in October that year, he kept the property and rented it to Klopp.
In 2019 Liverpool bought it as an investment and are said to have allowed Klopp, 57, to live there rent-free.
The German and wife Ulla were often spotted in a local pub.
But after Slot, 46, turned down the chance to move in following Klopp’s decision to head back to Germany and start his new job working as the head of global soccer at Red Bull, Liverpool put the house on the market – ending a 20-year link with the six-times European Champions.
A source told The Sun: ‘It was identified by the club as an ideal base for incoming managers.
‘Arne was offered it when he took over in the summer but has chosen to live elsewhere.
‘As a result, the club has decided to cut its losses.’
Slot has made a dream start to life at Liverpool, taking the Reds to second top of the Premier League having won seven out of his first nine games in charge.
His side secured a well-earned point against title rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday thanks striker Mohammed Salah’s late equaliser.
The Reds take on sixth placed Brighton this Saturday at Anfield.
