Snoop Dogg REVEALS Why He DESPISES Tupac For Hurting His Career

In a surprising revelation, Snoop Dogg has opened up about his complicated feelings towards the late Tupac Shakur, suggesting that he harbors a deep-seated disdain for one of Tupac’s most famous diss tracks, “Hit ‘Em Up.” This admission comes 27 years after Tupac’s tragic death and has sparked discussions about the duo’s once-close friendship and the intricate dynamics of their relationship.

Snoop Dogg and Tupac were not just contemporaries in the hip-hop scene; they were also close friends, with Snoop describing Tupac as a brother during his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their bond was cemented in the early 1990s, marked by collaborations and shared experiences, including their time together during the filming of “Poetic Justice.” However, Snoop’s recent comments during an interview with Big Boy TV have raised eyebrows, as he stated, “I didn’t like [‘Hit ‘Em Up’] at all.”

Tupac, who was shot and killed in 1996, left an indelible mark on the music industry, becoming one of the best-selling hip-hop artists of all time. His influence extended beyond music, impacting Snoop’s own career and prompting him to engage more politically and socially through his art. Despite their ups and downs, Snoop has often expressed admiration for Tupac, describing his death as a monumental loss for the hip-hop community.

However, the dynamics shifted in the days leading up to Tupac’s death. Snoop recounted that they were on good terms just a week before Tupac’s passing, but tensions arose when Snoop expressed interest in collaborating with Diddy and The Notorious B.I.G., a move Tupac perceived as betrayal. “Forget those guys; those guys tried to kill me,” Tupac reportedly said, highlighting the rift that developed between them.

Former Outlaws member Napoleon has weighed in on Snoop’s remarks, suggesting that the rapper’s jealousy may play a role in his retrospective criticism of Tupac’s work, particularly “Hit ‘Em Up,” which targeted their mutual rivals. Napoleon argued that Snoop’s reflections show a desire to reclaim some of the spotlight that Tupac had shone on his career.

Additionally, Napoleon noted Snoop’s past commitment to name his son after Tupac, a promise that remains unfulfilled. The complexities of Snoop’s relationships within the hip-hop community further complicate the narrative, especially given his collaborations with Diddy, who was often seen as an adversary to Tupac.

As the discussion around Snoop Dogg’s comments continues to unfold, it raises questions about loyalty, legacy, and the lasting impact of Tupac Shakur on contemporary hip-hop. Fans and critics alike are left to ponder the depth of Snoop’s feelings toward Tupac and what this means for their shared history in the music world. As the story develops, it remains to be seen how Snoop will respond to the backlash and whether he will clarify his position on his late friend and collaborator.
