WOMAN WHO KILLED YOUNG SCOOTER ARRESTED FACING 10 YEARS

In a shocking development, a woman has been arrested in connection with the death of Atlanta-based rapper Young Scooter, also known as Kenneth Bailey. Demetria Spence, 31, was taken into custody by the Atlanta Police Department after allegedly making a false 911 call that prompted a response to the scene where Bailey sustained fatal injuries.

The incident occurred on March 28 at a residence on William Nye Drive Southeast. During her call, Spence claimed there were shots fired and described a chaotic scene involving a domestic dispute, suggesting that seven men were involved in illegal activities at the home. She further alleged that a woman had been assaulted and dragged back into the house while a child was present. However, when officers arrived, they found no evidence of a shooting, nor did they locate the woman or child mentioned in Spence’s call.

As officers approached the home, a man opened the door but quickly closed it upon seeing police. Two men fled the scene, one of whom was later identified as Young Scooter. In his attempt to escape, Bailey reportedly jumped multiple fences, which resulted in a severe leg injury. He was transported to Grady Hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner ruled Bailey’s death as an accident due to a penetrating injury to his thigh, attributed to the organic material of a wooden fence rather than a gunshot wound. The circumstances surrounding the incident have raised numerous questions, particularly regarding Spence’s false claims.

As a result of her actions, Spence has been charged with transmitting a false public alarm under Georgia law, which carries a potential sentence of up to ten years in prison if serious injury or death results from the false report. The Atlanta Police Department is currently offering a $5,000 reward for information that could provide further clarity on the case.

The investigation continues as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to Bailey’s death, with a focus on the 911 call and the response from law enforcement. While the case has drawn significant media attention, it also highlights the dangers of false emergency calls and their potential consequences, both for the individuals involved and for the community at large.

As the situation unfolds, many await further details and clarity regarding the tragic death of Young Scooter, a well-known figure in the Atlanta hip-hop scene. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the complexities surrounding emergency responses and the critical importance of accurate reporting in times of crisis.
