State Blasts Rapper Tay-K for Aspiring Photographer’s ‘Cold-Blooded’ Murder (video)

In a gripping legal battle that captures the intersection of fame and crime, rapper Tamour McIntyre, known as Tay-K, faces charges related to a brutal murder that took place in April 2017. The case centers around the tragic death of aspiring photographer Mark Anthony Salavar, who was gunned down during an alleged robbery gone wrong.

The incident unfolded on a Sunday afternoon in a Chick-fil-A parking lot in San Antonio, Texas, when Salavar, 20, was reportedly excited about a potential photo shoot with McIntyre. Witnesses claim that after Salavar entered a black Kia—believed to be driven by McIntyre—a violent altercation ensued inside the vehicle, leading to a struggle over Salavar’s backpack, which contained his camera equipment. According to prosecutors, McIntyre was in the front passenger seat, and during the chaos, he allegedly pulled a gun and shot Salavar as the car sped away.

Salavar’s last moments were marked by desperate cries for help, as he was left bleeding on the ground without anyone from the car calling for medical assistance. Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic and shocking, with the attack taking place in broad daylight. The car was later found abandoned, and both McIntyre and his alleged accomplice, Jaylen Bell, fled the scene.

This trial is particularly significant as it follows McIntyre’s previous conviction for another murder charge connected to a home invasion that occurred in 2016, for which he is currently serving a 55-year sentence. The latest trial hinges on whether McIntyre can be proven guilty of capital murder in Salavar’s case, with the Bear County jury now tasked with determining his fate.

Defense attorneys have raised concerns about the prosecution’s reliance on witness testimonies, suggesting that many accounts come from individuals with their own vested interests. They argue that the evidence presented may not conclusively establish McIntyre as the shooter, pointing out inconsistencies in eyewitness accounts and the chaotic nature of the incident.

Prosecutors, however, are determined to present a compelling narrative that underscores McIntyre’s culpability, seeking to prove that he played a direct role in the violent events that led to Salavar’s death. They emphasize the emotional weight of the case, highlighting Salavar’s aspirations and the senseless loss of a young life at the hands of a rising star in the music industry.

As the trial unfolds, the courtroom is expected to hear more testimony that could either solidify McIntyre’s guilt or raise reasonable doubt about his involvement in the shooting. The outcome of this case carries significant implications, not only for McIntyre, who faces a potential life sentence if convicted, but also for the broader conversation surrounding violence in the hip-hop community and the impact of crime on aspiring artists.

The trial is ongoing, and the community watches closely as the jury deliberates the facts of a case that intertwines artistic ambition with the harsh realities of crime.
