Noem on new ‘Speedway Slammer’ ICE detention center “self deport now”

In a bold move aimed at tackling illegal immigration, Secretary of Homeland Security Christina Noem announced the opening of the “Speedway Slammer” detention center in Indiana. This new facility is set to house criminal illegal aliens, expediting their deportation process and reinforcing the Trump administration’s hardline stance on immigration. “Self-deport now,” Noem urged, emphasizing that those who have broken the law do not belong in the United States.

During an urgent interview on Fox and Friends, Noem revealed that the Speedway Slammer will mirror existing detention centers, ensuring that individuals apprehended by ICE will be processed swiftly and returned to their home countries. “We are grateful for the partnership with Indiana,” she stated, indicating a growing collaboration with states to bolster immigration enforcement.

As the nation grapples with rising crime rates linked to undocumented individuals, Noem highlighted the urgent need for more beds in detention centers, citing a lack of resources under the Biden administration. “States are stepping up to help us clean up our streets,” she asserted, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to law and order.

In response to rising crime, particularly in sanctuary cities, Noem called for accountability from local leaders, urging the Department of Justice to prosecute jurisdictions that hinder federal enforcement efforts. “Dangerous criminals are out there victimizing families every day,” she warned, underscoring the urgency of the situation.

As recruitment efforts for ICE agents ramp up, with over 80,000 applicants already vying for 10,000 positions, the administration is poised to strengthen its enforcement capabilities. “This is a service to the country,” Noem declared, rallying support for those willing to join the fight against illegal immigration.

The announcement of the Speedway Slammer marks a critical escalation in the ongoing battle over immigration policy, signaling a renewed commitment to border security and the removal of criminal elements from American communities. As Noem stated, “We will continue to tell the stories of victims and ensure this never happens again.”
