MrBeast reveals the astronomical amount he spends on each video

When somebody told MrBeast he should also upload to X, the world’s most subscribed YouTuber said he can’t possibly do that because it wouldn’t make financial sense.

His videos cost millions to produce.

In fact, MrBeast has finally given us a figure – and it’s mind-blowing.

MrBeast became the world’s most subscribed individual YouTuber, and the second overall after an Indian production company, with a clever strategy.

When he first started, he didn’t have any money for videos, so he tried out a bunch of simple yet grueling challenges to go viral.

In one of his first videos, he literally counted to 100,000.

Fast-forward to 2024, and it’s fair to say he doesn’t have a money problem anymore.

MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, makes high-budget videos every week.

Most of his videos involve a giveaway.

He once gave away an island and, on another occasion, he challenged one of his fans to live in a grocery store for as long as possible.

And he promised he’d give him $10,000 for every day he ‘survived’.

By the time the challenge ended, MrBeast owed the viewer a six-figure sum.

You have to spend money to earn money, as they say, and MrBeast is certainly taking this mantra to heart.

In a recent podcast event with the All-In Podcast, he said he spends an average $2.5 million on each video.

But he said the cost is justified.

When somebody from the podcast told him that’s like “making an independent film every two weeks,” MrBeast said he thinks the budget is high but not unreasonable.

On a live podcast event with @theallinpod, Mr. Beast shares how much his team spends on average per video.

“I don’t think it’s that crazy. They [the videos, ed.] get 100 million views in seven days,” he said.

“If any other media, outside of social media, got that kind of viewership, the budget would be like 50x.”

It’s certainly working out for him.

According to Forbes, MrBeast made an average $6.2 million a month in 2023 from YouTube.

MrBeast himself said he makes about $5 million per video in YouTube earnings alone.
