Tiger Woods is among some of the richest golfers the game has ever seen. In his almost 29 years as a professional, partnerships with giants like Tag Heuer, Rolex, and even Nike have fetched him multi-million dollars, and knowing Woods, a huge chunk of this money is locked in his luxurious timepieces.
His love for Rolex watches and the fact that he is a part of the highly coveted Rolex family have translated into a glorious collection. His longtime partner has also reciprocated his trust in them and has expressed their belief in “the exceptional stature of Tiger Woods and the leading role he plays in forging the sport’s global appeal.” Here are some of the 82-time PGA Tour winners’ most expensive timepieces!
3. Tiger Woods’ Rolex GMT-Master II in Two-Tone: $16,000
The 15-time major champion owns the rare collectible Rolex GMT Master II in two tones (Ref. 116713LN). This model, which features a two-tone 18K yellow gold and stainless steel, has now been officially discontinued, but it can be found on the secondary market for around $16,000.
While two tones might not be a staple, people with a taste for their dual shades seem to go to extra lengths, just like Woods, who owns this extremely expensive piece “cast in a ceramic 24-hour bezel with a glossy black dial with gold indices and a matching handset.”
2. Tiger Woods’ Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller James Cameron Edition: $17,000
The second most expensive item in the luxury-filled collection of the 48-year-old is the Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller with patented Ringlock technology and airtight waterproofness that helps it go as deep as 3,900 meters (12,800 feet) in the ocean. He owns the famous timepiece in the James Cameron Edition, which is priced highly at $17,000. This was a lucky charm for him in his last and iconic Masters win in 2019, and it remains to be seen if he will adorn this lucky watch in his upcoming appearance at the Augusta National Golf Course.
3. Tiger Woods’ Rolex Day-Date 40 in Everose Gold and White Gold: $40,350 each
He owns two shades of his most precious watch, the Rolex Day-Date 40, in Everose Gold and White Gold. It is a watch that is only offered in highly-priced metal bases of platinum and gold, thus explaining its extremely high cost of $40,350 for one timepiece. Its dial features 10 baguette-cut diamonds lined up to embellish its center. The Everose Gold piece Woods owns has a rose gold case or bracelet, which is further highlighted by its green dial, whereas its White Gold counterpart is much more classy in its simple yet elegant white dial and Roman numeral indices.
Woods’s next big appearance is at the Masters, and it remains to be seen which watch he will be adorning from his long-time partner in Georgia next week.
