This rare piece of hip hop history, auctioned for over $60,000, was introduced to Ken and Laura Goldin in a recent episode of Netflix’s “King of Collectibles”.
It is a blast from the past. We saw this unique signed copy on “Infinite” sold through Goldin, the collectibles marketplace for some of the most significant pieces of sports and pop culture memorabilia, in September 2023. Now we can see how Ken Goldin, the driving force behind Goldin Auctions, and his daughter Laura were introduced to this significant collectible by AMG Robbie, co-founder of Audio Media Grading. Robbie delivered the signed “Infinite” album, originally donated by Eminem’s manager, Paul Rosenberg, for a charity auction. The album’s provenance and rarity instantly impressed collectible dealers, and its authenticity was proved by a video showing Eminem signing the cover sleeve.
Goldin’s interaction with AMG Robbie provides a fascinating insight into the process of grading and valuing rare items. It also offers an exciting look into the journey of one of the most sought-after pieces of memorabilia in hip hop history. Now you can see it in an episode of season 2 of their Netflix show “King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch”.
It shows the beginning of a story that ended with a successful sale for over $62,000 for an undisclosed buyer.
Eminem’s legacy continues to thrive, not just through his music but also through the value of his memorabilia. Although, we know that the importance of this item is higher than any monetary value assigned to it.
