Roman Reigns is currently not a part of WWE actively, and fans are still waiting for his first appearance since WrestleMania 40. While the star put out a post immediately after his loss saying that he was training, he’s still not been seen.
In his absence, everything has changed within the company. The Bloodline has a whole new look with apparently a new Tribal Chief, Cody Rhodes is the champion, and Paul Heyman was attacked. It’s expected the star will return soon – either at or sometime after SummerSlam.
However, when he returns, he may find himself in even more difficulty. The star’s biggest ace up his sleeve was the Bloodline and the support he got from them in his matches. When he returns though, he won’t have that and will be suffering from ring rust.
This could mean that against a star like Bron Breakker he may just lose in seconds in the wrong situation. Also, a badly timed loss could spell the end of his WWE career, letting him be kicked out of the company by his rival.
With that being the case, there are some stars who can easily defeat him.
4. Gunther can defeat Roman Reigns
Gunther has proven himself to be a star who depends on his in-ring ability above all else. He considers the ring sacred.
The two stars have yet to really cross paths, but it seems inevitable that they will. When they do finally do so, Gunther will have the advantage of being the one with less ring rust and regular competition.
Reigns may find himself on his back sooner than expected in such a matchup.
3. Bron Breakker’s rise
Video: BRON BREAKKER IS WILD!
Bron Breakker is clearly being booked as one of the biggest future stars in WWE. The star has received an incredible push.
Now, should he face Reigns, it’s likely this momentum will continue. While he’s still inexperienced, something Reigns can use, the star has also proven that he can put people out of action. Ricochet’s fate is clearly etched into fans’ memories.
Reigns may find himself at the wrong end of a squash that could end the match in seconds if he underestimates Breakker even a little.
2. A new Anoa’i family member’s arrival – Jacob Fatu
In the past, Brock Lesnar and John Cena have both been part of unexpected one-sided beatdowns at the hands of Goldberg and Lesnar respectively.
Roman Reigns may be at the wrong end of one himself too, should he return and face Jacob Fatu.
The star has shown himself to be vicious and unforgiving, taking out whoever he faces. On top of that, having the typical strong head of the Samoan wrestler, the star is also impervious to the Superman Punch. He directly stood up after eating Randy Orton’s DDT.
This may be a match that Reigns wants to avoid, as it may leave him with an injury if Jacob Fatu is motivated enough.
1. The Rock will outmaneuver Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns is by no means new to doing what needs to be done to win. However, when it comes to experience, The Rock may be the one who has a better handle on it than him.
While it’s not been confirmed, there’s a huge chance that this new Bloodline was actually masterminded by none else than The Rock. It was his chance to seize control from Reigns, and he likely took it.
Thus, in a match between the two, the numbers game would play a part and Reigns may be effortlessly defeated by the Final Boss. The entire Bloodline congregating behind him would be far too much for even one such as Roman Reigns.
A loss against the Rock might also see him kicked out of WWE directly, and forced to leave. The Brahma Bull’s position on the board would make it difficult for Reigns.
