Patrick Mahomes’ Family Appears To Reveal Which Way They Lean Politically

Patrick Mahomes has done his best to stay apolitical throughout his NFL career.

While the Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback has a lot of followers, he’s refused to give them any advice on how to vote heading into the 2024 presidential election.

“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president,” Mahomes said, per Time magazine.

“I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”

Mahomes’ wife, meanwhile, appears to feel differently. She appears to have revealed which way the family leans politically.

Brittany Mahomes was reportedly caught liking – and then unliking – a Donald Trump MAGA post ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Outlets including Newsweek and The New York Post both reported on the apparent social media like, with multiple accounts on X (formerly Twitter) sharing screenshots and screen-recorded video of Mahomes’ Instagram handle appearing beneath Trump’s post. Mahomes’ like does not appear on the post as of Saturday, Aug. 24 and she does not follow Trump on Instagram, nor has she openly endorsed a candidate for president.

Brittany Mahomes is obviously free to like whichever candidate she wants. But her liking of a Trump post goes against what her husband has attempted to do – stay neutral, at least in the public eye.

The wife of the Chiefs quarterback doesn’t seem to like the blowback.

“To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,” Brittany Mahomes posted. “There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”

She added: “I mean honestly.”

The post liked by Mahomes reportedly included messages like: “seal the border and stop the migrant invasion,” “keep men out of women’s sports,” “secure our elections,” and “deport pro-Hamas radicals and make our college campuses safe and patriotic.”

The Chiefs, coming off a Super Bowl 58 win over the 49ers, are scheduled to open the 2024 season on Thursday, Sept. 5 against the Ravens.
