Amid reports of a reconciliation, it’s now clear that the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt divorce is going ahead as planned.
But the actress, 42, had her children at her side on Sunday as she proudly debuted her new film at Toronto Film Festival.
Where she may have once shared the red carpet with her actor husband, 53, four of her six children turned out to support her at the premiere of The Breadwinner.
Executive produced by Jolie, The Breadwinner is an animated film about an Afghani girl’s struggle.
At the entrance to the event, Angie was pictured with her youngest children Zahara (12) Shiloh (11), and twins Vivienne and Knox (nine) who each sported their own individual style to the festival.
While pre-teen Zahara was dressed up in a pretty red dress and cute boots, her younger sister Shiloh wore a plaid shirt and the twins wore variations on grey.
Eldest children Pax (13) and Maddox (16) were not pictured at the event but it’s not clear whether they were in attendance.
Film maker Rithy Panh and human rights activist Loung Ung also accompanied child actors Mun Kimhak and Sareum Srey Moch to the event.
Angelina hid her marital woes well, smiling broadly as she greeted fans and signed autographs, while her children stuck closely to her feet.
The beauty, who was dubbed ‘the perfect woman’ by Vogue’s Anna Wintour in 2010, offered a world-class smile and fluttering lashes.
A vision in white Givenchy, she breezed onto the red carpet in a chic off-white jumpsuit that left her heavily tattooed shoulders bare.
Angelina swept her brunette tresses into a glamorous side part while adding height to her look in matching ivory peep toe heels, which were hidden with her flared trouser legs.
The director and actress dressed up her look with hoop earrings and a solitary diamond ring on her index finger.
Inside the premiere, the starlet teamed up with director Nora Twomey and lead voice actress Saara Chaudry.
Saara, 13, looked polished in a royal blue dress with creme flowers adorning the bodice and skirt.
The rising starlet pinned her dark tresses behind her ears while letting her locks hang loosely in a relaxed but glamorous style.
Film director Nora Twomey kept simple and chic in a black pant suit paired with a hearty statement necklace.
The animation is based on a best-selling children’s novel by Deborah Ellis published in 2000.
A human touch: The UN humanitarian made time for selfies and face-to-face time with fans
The story follows the life of Pravana, ‘a girl in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan who must dress as a boy so she can work to support her mother Fattema and her sister Soraya.’
The Breadwinner is set for release later this fall.
Angelina’s red carpet appearance comes amid new reports that her divorce is moving forward.
Sources revealed to MailOnline on Thursday that ‘nothing has changed’ with the couple since bitter split in September 2016.
Close insiders divulged: ‘Nothing has changed, they are both focused on the kids and the divorce has continued to move forward’.
A sighting of Brad’s car at Angelina’s LA residence last week prompted claims that the pair were repairing their relationship.
But sources have told MailOnline that it’s ‘no big deal’ and ‘he’s probably just storing it there’.
The property is located half a mile from the couple’s old family home in Los Feliz, Los Angeles – where Brad still lives after Angelina’s departure.
For the time being, she focusses on progressing her directorial career, which she now admits was originally an ‘accident’.
The Oscar-winning actress made her debut behind the camera with the Land of Blood and Honey in 2011 and the wartime drama only came about because she was exploring her own interests.
She said: ‘It was an accident — I wanted to learn more about the War in Yugoslavia.
‘I never thought I could make a movie or write one, it was never part of my plan. ‘For me it wasn’t just about becoming a director. I believe our world is stronger for diversity and I love to learn about cultures and I love to work with artists from other parts of the world.
‘It’s the greatest way to deeply learn and know each other is to create together.
‘In my humanitarian work, I’m passionate about that. They’re my heroes, the people I’m involved with. They’ve taught me to be a better person, a better mother, what to live by, what to value. If I can do films that bring their stories to life, I think those are important stories.’
And the First They Killed My Father director loves getting the chance to find people’s ‘greatness’ from behind the camera.
Speaking at a Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) ‘In Conversation With’ panel, she added: ‘I like championing other people and finding their greatness.’
Angelina has worked with a different cinematographer on each of her directorial efforts and that’s been a deliberate move as she grows as a filmmaker. She said: ‘They change and I change.’
