Jason Statham celebrates buying Ben Stiller’s $11.5m mansion as he steps out with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

He’s one of Hollywood’s biggest action movie stars, with films including The Transporter, Crank and The Expendables under his belt.

And it certainly seem like it pays to be Jason Statham, as the actor has apparently splashed out on a luxurious $11.5million mansion in Los Angeles.

The 55-year-old actor celebrated buying the property, previously owned by Ben Stiller and wife Christine Taylor, as he stepped out in Hollywood yesterday with his stunning girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Dressed casually in a grey T-shirt and jeans, Statham kept his head down as he and Rosie grabbed some food at Cafe Med before heading home.

Victoria’s Secret model Rosie, meanwhile, looked stylish as ever in her white T-shirt, patterned skirt and boots.

Statham’s new 10-bedroom house is likely to become something of a lovenest for him and 35-year-old Rosie, who have been dating for nearly two years.

The property, located near to the Hollywood Bowl, was purchased by Stiller and Taylor back in December 1999 for the price of $1.82million.

The couple then put the house up for sale for $12.5million in 2009, before reducing the price and relisting it earlier this year.

It is not clear, however, whether Statham would still be going ahead with the property Statham he had been building in the Hollywood Hills, or if the new mansion would replace it.

Earlier this year, the actor and Rosie were spotted at the building site to check the progress that was being made.

As well as his new purchase, Statham owns a five-bedroom beachfront home in Malibu, which he bought for $10.6million.

He previously owned a two bedroom apartment in downtown LA, which he sold in 2009 for $1.39million.
