Adele is heaping praise on Miley Cyrus and her emotional new song Used To Be Young.
And the former Disney star, 30, couldn’t be happier to find out she got the seal of approval from the Someone Like You singer, 35.
During her Las Vegas residency show on Friday, Adele took a moment to chat with her audience, and out of nowhere began talking about Cyrus.
‘I am obsessed with Miley Cyrus’ new song,’ she gushed, while sitting in front of a piano, which set off a roar of approval from the raucous crowd.
‘I’ve always been a big Miley Cyrus fan,’ the London England native added, before confessing she ‘has a soft spot’ for the touching ballad.

Decked out in a black sequin dress, Adele continued on with her kind words for Miley Cyrus.
‘I absolutely love her,’ she said, before turning her attention back to her new single, Used To Be Young. ‘I think it’s amazing and she’s such a legend.’
Adele ended her Miley moment by confessing, ‘I love her.’
Her seal of approval was music to the ears of the former Disney starlet, who re-shared a video of Adele’s speech with her followers on X, formerly known as Twitter.
It turns out Miley was inspired by Adele while penning the lyrics for Used To Be Young, which debuted Friday.
‘@Adele ,, I thought of you often while writing this song – always hoped that you would love it,’ the Franklin, Tennessee native revealed.
‘This means the world to me. I love you. Mission accomplished.’
In a previous post, Cyrus revealed the ballad ‘is about honoring who we’ve been, loving who we are and celebrating who we will become.’

She went on to dedicate the song to ‘my loyal fans who make my dreams a reality daily. I am sincerely thankful for the stability of your steadfast support.’
In the music video, Cyrus pays homage to her Disney days by wearing a Mickey Mouse T-shirt.
At one point she starts to shed some tears when she begins to belt out the song’s emotional chorus.
‘I know I used to be crazy / I know I used to be fun / You say I used to be wild / I say I used to be young.’

Later in the song, she mentions how it’s ‘not worth crying ’bout the things you can’t erase like tattoos and regrets,’ but also ‘words I never meant and ones that got away.’
Officially released on Friday, August 25, Used To Be Young was written by Cyrus, alongside Gregory Aldae Hein and Michael Pollack.
