Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly has a clause in his Al-Nassr contract that allows him to leave for a Champions League club.
The 38-year-old joined Al-Nassr in January in a move that stunned world football.
The club said on social media: “History in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome @Cristiano to your new home @AlNassrFC.”
It was reported that Ronaldo signed a two-year deal with huge wages. However, according to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Ronaldo has a clause in his Al-Nassr contract that allows him to leave for Premier League club Newcastle United.
Eddie Howe’s side qualified for the Champions League this season and it is reported there will be an option for Ronaldo to join the Magpies on a loan deal as they are owned by the Saudi backed public investment fund.

In an interview with the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo declared: “If they are coming, big players and big names, young players, ‘old players’, they are very welcome because if that happens, the league will improve a little bit.

“The league is very good but I think we have many opportunities to still grow. The league is competitive.
“We have very good teams, very good Arab players.”
Al Nassr are currently fourth in the league after five wins in their last five games. They also got off to a winning start in the AFC Champions League on Monday, defeating Tajik outfit Istiklol 3-1.
