MrBeast is known for giving away millions of dollars throughout his video-making career, but his upcoming giveaway ventures are next level.
In a recent tweet, MrBeast, who has about 95 million YouTube subscribers, announced he was building a replica of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.
But that wasn’t the only news.
Below that tweet, he added he would be “giving away an island for 100 mil but nice looking big islands cost 20 mil $ so I bought an ugly big island and we’ve been importing sand, hundreds of trees, building a lake, etc. to make it not ugly lol”.
“So plz excuse the lack of videos, my giga brain thought it’d be a good idea to do 2 squid game level videos at the same time,” he added.
This video will most likely be out at some point later this year, along with the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory one that will come complete with a chocolate waterfall and river.
But this is not the first time he’s bought a private island.
In 2020, the YouTuber claimed to have spent $730,000 on an island with its own beach, jungle and cave.
MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, is known for his elaborate videos.
In his Squid Game video, people competed to win in a real-life version of the Netflix series to win $456,000, obviously without the threat to life.
Another video sees 10 YouTubers compete to win $1 million for their subscribers in an extreme game of hide and seek in a sporting stadium.
MrBeast also built the “world’s most dangerous escape room” where contestants had less than one hour to complete it and win $100,000.
But it’s not other people he’s put in extreme situations, MrBeast himself has spent 50 hours buried alive in a coffin and 50 hours in solitary confinement in separate videos.
