Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Regrets ‘Not Making Peace’ With Father Before His Death

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s father – professional wrestler Rocky Johnson – died at the age of 75 of a heart attack in January 2020.

On June 19, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (51) shared a video on Instagram admitting that he felt “there’s something I missed”.

Johnson appears in a hoodie and shorts in the video and says he decided to make the video while exercising, adding that he was confessing “a difficult thing we have to face”.

“Especially if there are a lot of guys out there who, like me, have had a difficult love, complicated relationship with their father. I went through that with him and I know many of you have too. It’s complicated, because dad isn’t here now and we always wish they were alive,” said Dwayne Johnson, referring to his father, a Canadian professional wrestler, who passed away at the age of 75.

“I wish he was here again so I could say, ‘I love you dad, thank you for raising me to the best of my ability even though there were times when things were complicated and sometimes we were in conflict. ‘,” Dwayne Johnson continues in the video.

The Black Adam actor  went on to urge fans with a complicated relationship with his father to “try to reconcile, try to mend” before sharing that he and Mr Rocky weren’t talking at the time. his father passed away.

“I had the biggest fight with my godfather at Christmas 2019. This was the biggest ‘fight’ I’ve ever had with him in my life. We were very tense, didn’t talk and three weeks. after he passed away. That was it. I never got a chance to say goodbye and I never even got a chance to reconcile,” he explains in the video.

“If the old man is still with you and you have a chance to reconcile then do it now. All of our fathers in heaven are looking down on us. Hopefully they are proud of what they see. see,” concluded Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
