Gervonta Davis threatens to KO Floyd Mayweather and go back to jail as public feud explodes on social media

Gervonta Davis and Floyd Mayweather are now embroiled in a bitter feud once again.

And things took a turn for the worse on Friday night when Davis threatened to knock out his former mentor.

“Now I f*** around and knock Floyd out when I see em and I’ll care about going back to jail,” Davis wrote on X in reference to the 90-day jail sentence he received after violating the terms of his home detention for a hit-and-run crash in November 2020.

“He such a b**** he don’t allow his security carry guns…”

Davis spent a large portion of his career fighting under ‘TBE’s’ Mayweather Promotions although the pair have had a rocky relationship since ‘Tank’ first became a world champion in 2017.

In late 2022, Davis left Mayweather promotions after his fight with Rolly Romero, opting to go his own way under the guidance of existing adviser Al Haymon.

The split seemed to be amicable at first but cracks began to show later down the line.

Ahead of Davis’ last outing against Ryan Garcia in April 2023, he accused Mayweather of stopping him from training at the Mayweather gym, where he held most of his camps.

In a since-deleted tweet, Davis wrote: “What? That Floyd’s petty ass said I couldn’t use his gym anymore. I don’t give a f***!

“Nah, it’s not what I heard, it’s what I know, chump!”

Yet they seemed to have made up by fight night with Mayweather seen celebrating his ex-protege’s seventh-round stoppage win over ‘King Ry’ from ringside – although things have since turned ugly again.

During a recent video uploaded to his social media channels, Mayweather said: “A lot of times what these fighters are looking at – they’re looking Floyd with the cars, they’re looking at Floyd being flashy.

“Man listen, I made so many sacrifices. Y’all are looking at the end results.

“And [when I was] champion having hundreds of millions in the bank, I still was on my grind in that gym.

“Y’all are worried about your outfits, how your boots look, worried about the wrong things. A lot of you fighters are living cheque to cheque.”

Davis, adamant Mayweather’s comments were about him, fired back on Instagram: “N***a says all this bulls**, but [he’s] in Dubai and can’t leave because he’s been taking n***as’ money and not doing what they paid him to do. N***a a f***ing hater.”

Mayweather and Davis have been at each other’s throats online ever since.
