The deal is one of the biggest yacht sales of the year.
A 246-foot superyacht listed for €139.9 million (US$150.9 million) has found a buyer after just 10 weeks on the market.
Arrow was delivered in 2020 by the Dutch shipyard Feadship, and has six cabins to accommodate up to 12 guests and 19 crew members, according to the listing with Andrew Bond of Fraser. About the size of three tennis courts, it boasts a host of amenities for a truly luxury experience on the open water, including a beach club, a cinema and a gym.
“In our sector of the market, every yacht is unique,” Bond said in a statement. “But it must be said that some are more unique than others. Arrow offers an outstanding array of craftsmanship, intelligent, stylish but functional design, advanced engineering and technology that doesn’t just set [the yacht] apart today, but will do so for years to come.”
Mansion Global could not determine the final sales price of Arrow, but assuming it sold for close to its ask, it may be the second-most expensive superyacht sale of the year, according to Boat International. The publication ranked the top yacht sales of 2023 earlier this month, with only one vessel ahead of Arrow—the 377-foot Ahpo (now Lady Jorgia), built by the German yacht builder Lürssen. It asked €330 million and sold in what is thought to be the biggest brokerage deal in history.
Fraser declined to comment on the buyer and seller, although the New York Post previously reported that Michael Platt, the London-based CEO of BlueCrest Capital Management, was selling the yacht. It is not clear how much Platt paid for the yacht, and he did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
Feadship worked with London-based studio H2 Yacht Design on the interior and exterior design, according to the listing. The team had the “experience and insight to know what makes yachts and the yachting experience so unique and so rewarding—not just for owners and guests, but for the crew as well,” Bond said.
Two cabins are on the main deck—the owner’s suite, complete with an office and dressing room, and a VIP stateroom. There are four guest cabins on the lower deck.
Other amenities of the yacht include the beach club’s bar, sauna, massage room, dive store and toy area; a hot tub, a sky lounge, an outdoor dining area, an elevator and, of course, 360-degree water views.
In addition, Arrow uses hybrid technology that enables the most efficient use of energy with a lower impact on the environment.
