Blind Kitten Clings to Gray Cat at First Meeting and Won’t Let Anyone Separate Them

When a blind kitten named Alfie first met a gentle gray cat named Milo, he immediately clung to him and wouldn’t let anyone separate them.

This heartwarming story of their friendship is a testament to the incredible bond that can form between animals in need.

Alfie, a tiny tuxedo kitten, was one of 16 cats found abandoned in a tent and rescued by Animal Control.

Weighing just one pound, he was the sickest of all and sadly lost his eyes despite efforts to save them.

However, his life was spared after surgery, and a shelter volunteer cared for him overnight. By the next day, Alfie was eating well and seeking affection, showing his resilient spirit.

While waiting for a foster home, Alfie rested on a heating bag, healing his tiny body.

When a volunteer visited, Alfie stretched and leaned into their hand for chin scratches, melting everyone’s hearts at the shelter. To give him the best chance at life, the shelter reached out to local rescues.

Nadija, a volunteer for AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue, stepped up to foster Alfie despite already having a full house.

Among her fosters was Milo, a gentle gray kitten who had been found alone and needed TLC. Milo quickly blossomed in Nadija’s care, playing with other kittens.

Alfie, meanwhile, was acclimating to his new surroundings. Despite being blind, he navigated effortlessly using his other remarkable senses.

He loved being held and spent most of his day sitting in Nadija’s lap, purring away.

After a week, Alfie was ready to join the other kittens. To everyone’s surprise, he was instantly drawn to Milo.

They played and wrestled, with Alfie following Milo everywhere. Milo was patient with Alfie’s rough play and quickly became his best friend.

Despite having multiple playmates, Alfie always gravitated towards Milo. When Milo enjoyed a serene snuggle session with Nadija, Alfie would dash over and grab Milo’s paw, urging him to play.

Alfie, full of mischief, ran around the room, tackling toys and always ready for a wrestling match.

Motivated by Milo, Alfie learned to climb cat trees, proudly nestling next to his best friend. Milo, who never met a stranger, had a soft spot for Alfie and taught him feline etiquette and boundaries.

Alfie, in turn, became very attached to Milo, preferring his company over other fosters.

One Saturday, when Milo was at the vet’s office, Alfie noticed his absence and started “looking” for him, pacing around and meowing.

Despite having other feline companions, Alfie missed Milo and tried to seek him out. He was overjoyed when Milo returned.

Since then, Alfie and Milo have been inseparable, napping side by side, grooming each other, and engaging in playful wrestling matches.

Alfie loves his life with Milo, his ride-or-die, and they continue their journey together, never to be apart.

Their story is a beautiful reminder of the strong bonds animals can form and the love they bring into our lives. Follow their journey and Nadija’s other fosters on Instagram at AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue.
