New York Fashion Week has always turned heads for its bold and stylish ensembles, but some of the looks the models strut down the runway in prompt even the most daring fashionistas to raise an eyebrow.
The fall 2023 NYFW shows ran from February 10 to February 15 and surely didn’t disappoint as it offered up many new designer collections.
The show featured designers like Christian Cowan, LaQuan Smith, and Luis De Javier, who all showcased very unique designs.
From devil horn nipples to prosthetic animal heads, fashionista left the popular runway show feeling stranger then ever.
Now, FEMAIL has revealed the weirdest and wackiest looks from the runway.
Two of fashion’s biggest faces posed up a storm during New York fashion week as horns jutted out of their cleavage.
Both Julia Fox, 32, and Lourdes Leon, 26 rocked the runway for Luis De Javier as they donned devil horn nipples.
The Uncut Gems star hit the runway and modeled a strapless blue denim dress for the designer that came complete with a pair of avant-garde antlers.
The model and actress added a touch of Fox flare to the ensemble as she paired the devilishly sexy look with her typical black latex gloves and denim booties.
The former dominatrix dominated fashion week as she strutted down the runway, but showgoers were left raising eyebrows and questioning if this was fashion’s next biggest thing.
And Fox wasn’t the only big name donning the devil horns as Madonna’s daughter also sported the wicked ensemble.
Lourdes put on a very busty display in a red mini dress decked out with horns on the chest.
Sporting bleached eyebrows and knee-high tights adorning her long legs, the model – who was previously turned away from the Marc Jobs show – commanded attention.
Stomping down the catwalk in chic black heels, Lourdes matched her nails to her sinful by painting her fingertips a bright shade of red.
All eyes were on the two models as their devil horns jutted out of their nipples.
Both models sported slicked back hair and a glossy lip that helped them accentuate their perfect pouts.
And although Julia and Lourdes may have pulled off the unusual style that made a statement, you will have to wait until the spring to see if the devilish look seen on the runway heads to the streets.
One designer who is known for her eco-friendly nature took it to a whole new level as she sent models down the runway in animal heads.
Hillary Taymour, the creative director of Collina Strada debuted her new Fall/winter collection at New York Fashion Week.
It featured models donning a variety of convincingly realistic animal prosthetics.
Wearing the brand’s new distressed pink top, one model sent audience members howling as she strutted down the runway with a bedazzled pig snout molded to her nose.
Another model was sent down the runaway in a bright green mouse face complete with white whiskers.
A third model from the eco-friendly fashion house donned a rodent muzzle, ears and whiskers.
Another left showgoers jaws dropped as they sported a vivid green lizard prosthetic over their entire head – with just two slits for their eyes.
And if models donning prosthetic animal heads wasn’t unusual enough, the fashionistas ditched the traditional strut and crawled, pranced and skipped down the catwalk.
Although the models appeared to be having a good time adopting their chose animal’s mannerisms, it doesn’t seem like this will be fashion’s next biggest thing anytime soon as the rows of onlookers sat with baffled looks.
The next big look to come out of 2023 New York Fashion Week that saw onlookers raising an eyebrow sees models baring it all.
Tiny bras became a hot trend on the runway with designers like Christian Cowan, LaQuan Smith, Teyana Taylor, Kim Shui and House of Aama all sending models down the catwalk with revealing garments.
During Smith’s show, models donned red, blue, silver, and patterned ultra-mini bras that barley covered their cleavage.
One woman sported a baby blue bandeau, while another donned white fabric that went up to their neck.
Another model showed off her cleavage as she donned a silver bralette.
All the models gave showgoers a peak of underboob as they stomped down the catwalk.
Models for Kim Shui also wowed as they sported tiny bras that barley covered their cleavage.
One model wore a string bra with the letter ‘K’ just covering her nipples, leaving the rest of her cleavage exposed.
Models for Christian Cowen and House of Aama followed in suit as they sported tiny bandeaus and ultra-mini cover ups.
Sporting a House of Aama top, one model donned a sheer bra that fully revealed their cleavage.
With the warmer months approaching, tiny bras may just be the look of the season.
Fake white long nails were glued to their fingers and toes and came to a twist at the top.
They were followed by models donning oversized gray blazers, but no long toenails this time around.
And while the toes surely made a statement, you will have to wait to the summer months to see if the NYFW trend will stick.
