You really shouldn’t believe everything you see on the internet – especially if it’s taken out of context.

The internet rumor mill is always churning, and it’s incredibly easy for things to be taken out of context as posts are shared and re-shared. And it seems that this may be the case with a recent rumor about MrBeast.

The popular YouTuber has 245 million subscribers on his main channel alone and was recently in talks to ink a TV series deal with Amazon Prime worth $100 million.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson and already has a net worth of $25 million, has reportedly landed another lucrative deal for himself.

MrBeast has clarified the Disney sale rumors.
The rumors that Jimmy sold his YouTube channel to Disney were sparked by an out-of-context clip of Graham Stephan and Jack Selby The iced coffee hour The podcast was widely shared on social media. In it, Graham and Jack try to play a prank on their guests Sam and Colby.

“MrBeast sold his channel to Disney,” says one of the hosts.

This 17-second clip was viewed more than two million times and many people reacted to the news – but it didn’t take long for Jimmy himself to comment on the news.

“Disney does not own any part of my channel,” he clarified in a reply tweet to the clip.

It seems that MrBeast is unable to sell his YouTube channel – and why should he? Not only do all of his uploads bring in more than 100 million views each, his internet empire has also continued to grow with his channel.

Graham and Jack tried to prank Sam and Colby in the viral clip.
The 17-second clip shared is just a small excerpt of the entire podcast episode, which is more than three hours long. The clip takes place in the intro of the episode and after Graham and Jack try to trick Sam and Colby, they ask how much they would sell their channel for.

“Probably $6 billion,” they replied.

The duo continue to express their insecurities with Graham and Jack’s claims before the hosts admit they were joking. Had the clip shared online actually been 10 seconds longer, viewers would have known it wasn’t real and part of a prank.

Replies to the original tweet quickly turned sour after MrBeast clarified the matter.

“Man, even Mr. Beast had to fact check if you were an influential rabble rouser LOL,” one Twitter user responded, while another wrote, “Stop using Mr. Beast to gain influence. “

The clip wasn’t shared by Graham and Jack, so it was probably made to spark conversation and clicks on Twitter.
