Adele has completely rebuilt her $58 million Beverly Hills home, which she purchased from Sylvester Stallone back in 2022 – but kept one noticeable feature from the vast property.
Pictures of construction show the 18,587 square-foot home has been completely remodelled, two years after the star purchased the property with her husband Rich Paul.
Adele, who is yet to move into the property two years after purchasing it, is reportedly paying ‘millions’ for the extensive list of renovations, including adding a five-car garage and a fire-resistant roof to the pad.
It appears the singer has extended the sprawling property, which already had eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, skywards in order to build a garage to fit multiple luxury vehicles.
According to The Sun, Adele’s team said they are also fitting a ‘cool roof’ on the property to comply with ‘strict specifications of properties in a ‘very high’ Fire Hazard Severity Zone.
A source said: ‘When Adele bought the house she didn’t intend to change too much. But she has a team of Hollywood experts on board who suggested the extra floor.
‘The house will be absolutely gigantic by the time it’s done. But it is looking incredible and she thinks it’s worthwhile.
‘She wants it to be her forever home with her son Angelo and partner Rich Paul, and she dreams of extending her family there.’
One staple part of their home that they haven’t renovated is the swimming pool which features Sylvester’s iconic statue by the pool of his boxing character Rocky.
The hitmaker bought the eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom home in January 2022, saddling her with a colossal $37.7million mortgage.
Stallone had initially listed the property for $110 million, then reduced the price to $85 million before he accepted Adele’s offer of barely half his original asking price.
Last year, he told the Wall Street Journal that he had planned on taking the statue of his character Rocky, which overlooks the pool, but the singer really ‘wanted the statue.’
His former home was full of Rambo and Rocky references when it was put on the market, but since then has been completely remodelled by Adele.
According to the realtor selling the property – who called the estate a ‘world-class celebrity contemporary Mediterranean compound’ – there were statues and artworks all over the place pointing to Sly’s greatest films.
The listing said: ‘The timeless design of the living room is pretty much insane; paintings on the wall have a fireplace, billiards, unique big graffiti art with the name of Rambo, comfy couches with a dramatic view from the outside.
‘You may notice a lot of Rambo memorabilia on the wall in the area. In a few steps, the memorabilia room and office are excellent there’s a big and tall Rambo statue, cabinet with Rambo figures, Trophies, different sculptures, and paintings.
‘Watching the natural beauty of nature while swimming in an infinity pool with Rocky Balboa Sculpture will never miss out.’
In June 2023, Adele first kickstarted renovations to her mansion, with images taken last year showing how the star had completely torn down and rebuilt the property.
The property has a total of eight bedrooms on a whopping 3.5 acres, and is located in the same neighborhood where Lisa Vanderpump and Rod Stewart used to reside.
No doubt the home will serve as an oasis to those seeking privacy from the hustle and bustle of Tinseltown as it is at the end of a cul de sac up a long private driveway in an exclusive enclave.
It’s estimated Adele is paying $227,000 per month – including high property taxes for the celeb enclave and a five percent interest rate – which is a big sum even for the singer, whose net worth is $183million.
Adele already owned three homes in a star-studded neighborhood of Beverly Hills before adding Sylvester’s former abode to her property portfolio in January 2022.
In 2022, a building permit report was filed with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety last July for an ‘alteration/repair.’
The description stated that the permit is for ‘interior non-structural remodel to existing SFD [single family dwelling]’ and notes there is ‘no added floor area or change to building footprint’ nor to the ‘exterior of structure.’
The mammoth building job is being handled by celebrity construction company Valle Reinis – founded by luxury builders Brian Valle and TV actor Rob Reinis, son-in-law of ‘The Fonz’ Henry Winkler – who have featured in Elle Decor and Architectural Digest.
Outside there is a massive patio with an infinity pool, spa, and even a putting green. Any gearhead would be happy to know that there is also an air-conditioned eight-car garage with an art studio.
The gated community is also home to Hollywood royalty Denzel Washington and Eddie Murphy.
Adele’s first two properties were purchased under the names The Gatefield Trust and Todd Gelfand, a partner at Adele’s business management company Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman.
She bought the third property from Nicole Richie and her musician husband Joel Madden, with the house sitting next door to both her current home and the house she purchased from ex-husband Simon Konecki in 2019.
In May 2022, she confirmed she moved in with boyfriend Rich Paul after a year of dating.
The Grammy-award winning singer, who already shares son Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki, revealed last month she wants to extend her family.
On stage at her Vegas residency, Adele told fans that she is hoping to have a daughter with Rich.
She said: ‘Once I am done with all my obligations and all of my shows, I want to have a baby.
‘I want a girl because I’ve already got a boy. I feel like she might be like the person I love the most in the world, but also prob- ably hate the most in the world — that is what I feel will happen.
‘She’s going to put me in my place all the time, isn’t she?’
The Rolling In The Deep songstress – who secretly tied the knot with Rich towards the end of last year – joked that the little one will end up being a ‘bossy little queen’ because of the parents she will have.
She said: ‘With me as her mother and Rich as her father, she’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?’
