Hollywood A-lister Zac Efron appears to have settled in Byron Bay after finding love with local brunette model and waitress, Vanessa Valladares.
And the 32-year-old is rumoured to have purchased a $22 million love nest for the couple, breaking sale records in the upscale New South Wales beachside enclave.
According to Confidential on Saturday, the pair have been hiding out in a new mansion of late.
The rumoured love nest is one of Byron Bay’s premier properties, with it beating out Thor actor Chris Hemsworth’s incredible $20 million mansion at Broken Head.
The home boasts five large bedrooms, with the master suite featuring an ensuite and stairs to a mezzanine walk-in wardrobe.
The home features sweeping ocean views and even has private stairs down to stunning Wategos Beach, meaning easy access for the pair to go for a dip.
The couple also have the option of a heated infinity pool, which has expansive ocean views.
On the lower ground floor, there is a yoga and games room, a commercial laundry and a wine cellar.
The middle floor has a media room and an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area that leads out to a balcony with a heated infinity pool and stairs to the beach.
There is also an open plan living, dining and kitchen area that leads out to the second balcony on the top floor.
LJ Hooker Avnu estate agent Michael Coombs sold the multi-million dollar property.
‘We did have a few A-list celebrities inquire about it, and some sports stars,’ Mr Coombs told The Daily Telegraph.
‘In my opinion it is the best house in Byron Bay. It was not surprising that I got a sale early.’
Byron Bay has become a celebrity enclave amid the COVID-19 pandemic with many of Australia’s wealthy residents flocking to the beachside town due to international travel bans.
Zac has been quietly residing in Byron Bay for the past few months. Last week, rumours were swirling he was now living in Sydney’s Bondi.
The film star was spotted at upscale restaurant Catalina, in Sydney’s Rose Bay.
